Crompton Project Samruddhi: The ESSCI and Crompton CSR Foundation Partnership

The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has collaborated with The Crompton CSR Foundation to complete a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project successfully. This project aimed to upskill and certify 3,000 electricians across 12 states pan India, enhancing their technical capabilities and ensuring they have the latest knowledge in electrical best practices. The primary goal of this CSR project was to provide Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) training to electricians. The training covered basic electrical and electronics products, related Crompton Greaves (CG) technologies, and best practices for efficient product installation and maintenance. This specialized training has not only improved their technical skills but also increased their employability, providing them with better job opportunities and career growth.

Samsung DOST 2' CSR Initiative: Empowering Youth in Electronics Retail

Samsung DOST 2' CSR Initiative: Empowering Youth in Electronics Retail Samsung India, launched the 'Samsung DOST' (Digital & Offline Skills Training) program. This impactful CSR initiative aimed to train 2000 youth for the electronics retail sector during 2022-2023. Through this program, ESSCI successfully trained 1998 candidates, with all participants completing five months of On-the-Job Training (OJT). 1028 of these trainees have already secured employment. The program specifically targeted youth who had completed their school education, referred by ESSCI’s approved training partners at various centres nationwide. Upon completion of OJT, participants were assessed and certified by the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India. The comprehensive training provided by the Samsung DOST initiative equips youth with the necessary skills for a successful career in electronics retail, demonstrating Samsung India's commitment to social responsibility and workforce development.

Green Gas Limited

The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has successfully implemented a transformative Occupational Skill and Entrepreneurship Development program under Green Gas Limited’s CSR initiative. This project aimed to enhance the livelihoods of semi-skilled and unskilled underprivileged youth from weaker sections of society in the Lucknow district. ESSCI provided skill-based training, and through this program, offered comprehensive instruction for aspiring Solar Panel Installation Technicians. This training equipped participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the growing solar energy sector, paving the way for sustainable employment opportunities.

ESSCI and ABB Collaboration: Revamped COPA Lab at ITI

The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) teamed up with ABB to upgrade the Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) lab at an Industrial Training Institute (ITI). This collaboration has greatly improved the students' learning experiences and enhanced their skill sets. Here are the steps ESSCI took to enhance the COPA lab: Infrastructure Upgrade: The first step in upgrading the COPA lab involved a comprehensive infrastructure overhaul.
Incorporation of Modern Teaching Aids: ESSCI introduced modern teaching aids to create a more interactive and engaging learning environment.
Equipment and Infrastructure Enhancement: In addition, ESSCI upgraded the equipment and infrastructure in the Electrical Maintenance (EM) lab.
These efforts by ESSCI and ABB have significantly improved the educational infrastructure, ensuring that students receive up-to-date training that aligns with industry standards.

Havells India Limited and ESSCI Join Forces for the Maharath Project: Upskilling 5000 Electricians Nationwide

Electronics Sector Skills Council of India in partnership with Havells India Limited successfully conducted a "One Day Upskilling and Certification Program" across selected locations, facilitated by ESSCI's skilling partners, under the prestigious Project Maharath. This initiative aimed to enhance the skills and certify 5000 electricians, significantly improving their job performance, safety, and knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and best practices. The Havells Maharath Project has reached a pivotal achievement in advancing skill development within the electronics sector. Leveraging ESSCI's extensive network of training partners and Havells' expansive presence, the program benefited individuals in 34 locations across 17 states in India. This collaboration between Havells and ESSCI not only enabled the exchange of knowledge but also strengthened industry partnerships, creating a nurturing environment for skill development and innovation in the electronics sector.

Samsung Innovation Campus Phase 1: Empowering Youth with Future-Ready Skills

Samsung India Electronics Private Limited has partnered with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) to launch the Samsung Innovation Campus program. This initiative aims to upskill 3,000 underprivileged youth, aged 18-25, across seven states in India in cutting-edge tech domains such as AI, IoT, Big Data, and Coding & Programming. The program's curriculum is meticulously designed to provide both technical and soft skill training, ensuring holistic development. Notably, ESSCI organized 34 Hackathons specifically for Coding & Programming students, offering a platform to showcase their skills. These events culminated in impressive projects and impactful presentations evaluated by esteemed juries. Involvement from trainers and experts from reputable industries and academia further enriched the learning experience, making the Samsung Innovation Campus a significant milestone in empowering India's youth with future-ready skills.

ESSCI Supports WNS with Cybersmart Program Online Certifications

The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has played a crucial role in assisting the WNS Cares Foundation (WCF) with its Cybersmart Program. This program delivers online certifications to school children, teachers, and parents all over India. In six months, ESSCI has helped facilitate over 209,774 certifications, contributing to the widespread education of cyber safety. The Cybersmart Program, launched on June 22, 2020, is a significant initiative by WCF that focuses on raising awareness about cyber safety among children and young people. This free online learning platform aims to educate and empower students, teachers, volunteers, and parents about the importance of staying safe online. By facilitating these certifications, ESSCI is helping to create a safer digital environment for children, ensuring that they are well-prepared to responsibly navigate the online world.
