It has 85 member countries and regions, all working with youth, educators, governments, and industries to help prepare the workforce and talent of today for the jobs of the future.

India at WorldSkills Competition 2024 at Lyon, France

The 47th WorldSkills Competition took place from September 10 to September 15, 2024, in Lyon, France. This year, the competition welcomed 1,400 competitors from nearly 70+ countries. Participants showcased their skills across a diverse range of disciplines, including technology, craftsmanship, and service industries, reflecting the evolving landscape of global employment. India proudly participated in the competition, sending a well-prepared delegation comprising 60 competitors and 52 experts. The Indian team showcased their participation in 52 skills.


One of the legacies of WorldSkills Competitions is the increased visibility of skilled professional education, as one of the tools of social and economic transformation.
